Since Fall Season 2008, Guava Beach has sponsored a Fall/Spring softball team at the Santa Clara Recreational Center on beautiful Sail Bay right across from Guava Beach.  When approached by the team Captain Vince, they had already had the name "Blue Balls" and an ever changing team of friends that filled the roster. With the team playing locally on Saturdays, we became a natural post-game hang out for the team to catch up on each others lives, talk about the game and of course catch up on all the college football scores!  Since sponsorship began, our "Guava Beach Blue Balls" have taken first place and crowned Beach Softball Champions back to back (Fall 2008/Spring 2009), and hope to continue their run ensuing the start of this Fall's 2010 Season.
